Every Rank Math Price You See Is a First-Year Price

Rank Math's pricing page does something most vendors avoid: it prints the renewal price directly beneath the sale price. Credit where it is due — this is disclosure, not a dark pattern.

It is still easy to miss, and the gap compounds annually.

Agency costs €120 more in year two than the number on the button. Over three years the plan is €2,219.64, not the €1,979.64 that the advertised rate implies.

None of this is deceptive. It is just that comparison articles quote the first column and almost never the second, so the figure that circulates is the one that is true for twelve months.

The tiering here is not the usual features ladder. What you are mostly buying is how many sites the licence covers, and the wording matters:

• PRO — "Unlimited personal websites"
• Business — "Supports 100 client websites"
• Agency — "Supports 500 client websites"

The distinction is personal versus client. If you run ten of your own sites, PRO at €7.99 covers all ten. The jump to Business is not about outgrowing a number — it is about whether the sites belong to people who pay you.

That makes the real decision binary for most readers. You are either a freelancer or agency with client sites, or you are not, and if you are not, PRO is the answer regardless of how many sites you own.

The allowances scale hard: 500 tracked keywords on PRO, 10,000 on Business, 50,000 on Agency.

Per site, PRO's 500 is generous for a personal blog and thin for a serious content operation tracking multiple markets. Business's 10,000 spread across 100 client sites is 100 keywords each — comfortable for local clients, tight for anyone competing nationally.

Worth doing that division before choosing, because the headline "100 client websites" sounds roomier than the keyword budget underneath it actually is.

Rank Math's free tier includes basic SEO analysis, 18 pre-defined schema types, Google Search Console integration, and 24x7 support.

Schema is the part worth pausing on. Structured data is one of the few technical SEO tasks with a direct, visible search result payoff, and getting it right by hand is tedious. Eighteen pre-defined types covers the common cases — article, product, recipe, FAQ, local business — without paying anything.

A previous version of this review claimed the free tier was more powerful than a competitor's paid plans. That comparison was never sourced and has been removed. What can be said from the vendor's own page is narrower and more useful: the free tier does enough that you should install it and find out what you run out of before paying.

All paid plans include Content AI as a 15-day trial.

That phrasing is doing real work. Content AI appears in the feature list of every paid tier, which reads as included, and for a fortnight it is. After that it is a separate purchase, and the pricing page does not state the credit cost.

Treat AI content assistance as unpriced when budgeting this tool. If it is the reason you are upgrading, get the ongoing cost in writing before committing to a year.

Prices are listed in euros. For a US buyer that means the dollar cost is not fixed — it drifts with the exchange rate, and a card issuer may add a foreign transaction fee of a percent or three on top.

Small, but it makes "€7.99" and "$7.99" different promises, and annual billing means you find out once a year rather than monthly.

If your site is not on WordPress, this tool does not apply to you at all. It is a WordPress plugin and has no function anywhere else — not a limitation so much as a category boundary.

If you have no traffic yet, an SEO plugin is not the constraint. Rank Math helps search engines understand pages that already exist and are already worth ranking; it does not create demand, and configuring schema on a site nobody visits is a way to feel productive without moving anything.

Rank Math prices fairly and discloses its renewal openly, which is more than most of this category manages. The free tier is real, PRO at €7.99 covers unlimited personal sites, and the ladder above it is coherent.

Just budget the second column. PRO renews at €107.88 a year, Business at €335.88, Agency at €779.88 — and those, not the launch prices, are what the tool costs for as long as you keep it.
